Yucatán to get around $86 mln in gas infrastructure investment

Mexican Energy Minister Pedro Joaquín Coldwell has announced that MXN 1.75 billion ($86 million) will be invested to support the supply of gas to the Yucatán Peninsula, Business News Americas has reported.

Cenagas will invest MXN 750 million, while France’s Engie will cover the rest. Engie’s investment will be used to connect its 780-km Mayakan gas pipeline to Mexico’s national pipeline network, while Cenagas’s investment will be channelled towards the Cempoala compression station in the south of Veracruz, the newswire reported.
