Indian Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has announced that he plans to establish two synthetic gas projects in the state of Odisha, according to India’s Financial Express.

Gail and Indian Oil Corp. will produce gas from coal at projects in Talcher and Paradip, respectively.

The move forms part of India’s plans to expand the use of gas in its economy.
