Moscow and Islamabad have signed a memorandum of understanding to conduct a feasibility study for an offshore gas pipeline that could involve Pakistan, Iran, Russia and India, according to Indian newspaper the Economic Times.

The agreement follows various proposals for other projects in the energy sector that the two countries are cooperating on, including the North-South gas pipeline, Russian LNG imports and the installation of a 600 MW combined-cycle gas turbine power plant.
