Sergio Costa, Italy’s new environment minister, has said the country’s involvement in the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) is to be revised.

“TAP is on the table and we are looking at it as a priority,” Costa told Reuters on Wednesday. “Given [our] energy policy, given falling gas demand, that project today looks pointless,” he said.

However, other ministers will be involved in any decision on the future of TAP, Costa added.
