South Korea’s SK E&S has signed a letter of intent with the Philippine Department of Energy to build LNG infrastructure worth $1.7 billion in the Southeast Asian country, the company said on Thursday.

SK E&S presented a blueprint to the Philippine government for facilities on the northern island of Luzon, including a 5 mtpa LNG terminal, more than 600 MW of LNG-fired power capacity, and up to 150 km of connecting pipeline.
