Portugal looking for more US LNG into Sines

Portugal is looking to expand the deepwater port of Sines so it can receive larger LNG cargoes from the United States.

Portugal’s prime minister, Antonio Costa, has said his government is looking to expand the deepwater port of Sines so it can receive larger LNG cargoes from the United States, together with offering transhipment services.

Costa also said bigger regasification services, underground storage facilities and a pipeline connection with Europe could be added to Sines’ existing terminal.
