Pakistan aims to produce 41.72 billion cubic metres of domestic gas in 2018-2019, The Balochistan Times reported on Friday.

The domestic output will be supplemented by 9.0 mt of LNG imports over the same period. Companies plan to drill 50 exploratory and 40 development wells across the country.

Around 445 wells were drilled in Pakistan over the last five years, of which 221 were exploratory.
