MPs in Tanzania are calling on their government to speed up discussions with IOCs on the country’s proposed LNG plant.

MPs in Tanzania are calling on their government to speed up discussions with IOCs on the country’s proposed LNG plant.

Dunstan Kitandula, chairman of the parliamentary energy and minerals committee, said that “the government must fast-track the discussion process with investors” according to The Citizen newspaper.

The committee fears the international market for Tanzania’s gas will be lost to other countries that are also investing in the sector, it said.
