Gas consumption in the southwestern Chinese city of Chongqing fell by 4.0% year on year in the first four months of 2018, to 3.2 billion cubic metres, according to the municipal government.

PetroChina supplied 2.4 bcm of the total, while Sinopec provided 804 million cubic metres (MMcm). The industrial sector consumed 1.8 bcm, while households used 1.1 bcm and vehicles used 231 MMcm.
