CFEnergia pulls out of Mexican LNG tender

CFEnergia will no longer participate in a tender for an LNG project in the south of Mexico

CFEnergia, the fuel trading arm of Mexican state-run utility Comision Federal de Electricidad (CFE) will no longer participate in a tender for an LNG project in the south of the country, according to local press.

“CFEnergia considers that the timing for the [startup] of the Pajaritos FSRU is past when it’s necessary to supply […] gas to the southeast,” the company’s chief executive, Guillermo Turrent-Schnaas, was quoted as saying by Natural Gas Intelligence.
