TransCanada will start building its C$4.8 billion (US$3.8 billion) Coastal GasLink pipeline in early 2019, assuming an FID is made on the LNG Canada project, Reuters reported Richard Gateman, president of the pipeline project company, as saying on Wednesday.

“We would be looking at constructing [the pipeline during] the early part of 2019,” said Gateman. “We could be doing a little bit of field work in the fall [of 2018], if there’s an FID.”
