Kunming, the capital of southern China’s Yunnan province, increased its gas consumption in the first three months of 2018 by 55.6% year on year, to 66.95 million cubic metres, the Kunming Daily newspaper reported on Wednesday.
The city cut end-user gas prices for residential users from RMB 3.31 per cubic metre ($14.74/MMBtu) to RMB 2.95/cm in February, which will save households approximately RMB 130 per year.
