Shell will leave the Panna-Mukta-Tapti (PMT) fields offshore India once its production-sharing contract expires in December 2019, Indian newspaper The Financial Express reported on Wednesday.

Shell and Reliance each hold a 30% interest in the PMT joint venture, while state-run Oil & Natural Gas Corp. holds the remaining 40%.

Reliance said in April that Panna and Mukta produced 427.6 million cubic metres of gas from 66 wells in the first three months of 2018, up by 2.0% year on year.
