Poland’s UOKiK challenges Nord Stream 2 backers

Poland’s UOKiK has launched proceedings against Gazprom and its European partners over a potential breach of anti-monopoly laws regarding Nord Stream 2.

Poland’s Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) has launched proceedings against Gazprom and its European partners Uniper, Wintershall, Shell, OMV and Engie over a potential breach of anti-monopoly laws regarding Nord Stream 2, the office said on Wednesday.

The Polish competition authority had earlier ruled that Nord Stream 2 could lead to restricted competition on the Polish gas market.
