Nigeria aims to pass the remaining parts of the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) by the end of July, Senate President Bukola Saraki has told Reuters.

The passing of the Petroleum Industry Fiscal Bill and the Petroleum Host Community Bill would conclude a 17-year legislative process.

The PIB, which proposes a radical overhaul of the petroleum sector, was broken down into three parts by President Muhammadu Buhari’s government in an effort to get it passed through the country’s legislative chambers.
