YPF produced 43.7 million cubic metres per day (MMcm/d) of gas in Q1 2018, the state-run Argentine company said on Tuesday.
This was a decline of 3.5% compared with Q1 2017. However, hydrocarbon production from shale areas, net to YPF, amounted to 49,600 barrels of oil equivalent for the period.
This was 37.1% higher than Q1 2017 and included 3.6 MMcm/d of gas.
The company’s tight gas production during Q1 2018 averaged 14 MMcm/d.
