Canada’s Pieridae Energy is in talks to sell up to 1 mtpa of LNG to a European buyer for 10 years from the second train of its Goldboro project in Nova Scotia, the Toronto Stock Exchange-listed company said on Monday.

The start of talks brings Pieridae closer to an FID on the second train, which will have capacity of 5 mtpa and is scheduled to start commercial deliveries in Q1 2023, said Chief Executive Alfred Sorensen.
