Fourth Central Asia-China Pipeline to pump 10 bcm in first year

The fourth Central Asia-China Pipeline is expected to pump 10 billion cubic metres of gas in its first year of operation.

The fourth Central Asia-China Pipeline is expected to pump 10 billion cubic metres of gas in its first year of operation and 20 bcm in the second year, Kyrgyzstan’s AKIpress news agency cited Ulanbek Riskulov, chairman of Kyrgyzstan’s State Committee on Industry, Energy and Mining, as saying on Monday.

Kyrgyzstan’s 215-km leg of the 30 bcm/y-capacity pipeline will generate $75 million per year of state revenue, Riskulov said.

Land issues related to the Kyrgyz leg have been resolved, Riskulov added.
