Qatar Petroleum will sell 49% of its shares in Qatalum in a public offering.

Qatalum makes aluminium and has a carbon plant, a port, storage facilities and a gas-fired power plant.

Norwegian company Hydro owns a stake in Qatalum. The company’s revenues were QAR 5.1 billion ($1.4 billion) in 2017 and it made QAR 660 million in profit.
