Retail gas prices in South Korea will increase by 0.2-3.2% for users in sectors including industry and transport on 1 May as a result of higher oil prices, the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said on Monday.

Prices for households and businesses such as hotels or restaurants will remain unchanged.

The hike is the first change in prices since a cut that averaged 9.3% last November.
