Japan’s Jera, a joint venture between Tokyo Electric and Chubu Electric, plans to invest $935 million in power generation projects in the United States, according to Power Magazine.
The company plans to make the investment by 2030 and will target gas-fired power plants.
Jera has 3 GW of generation capacity in North America, including plants that form part of the Tenaska Gas IPP project. It also has stakes in similar schemes in Carroll County in Ohio and Cricket Valley in New York....
