Hubei Energy Group is forging plans for LNG storage and distribution along the shores of Asia’s longest river as it seeks to expand shipping demand for the fuel in China’s inland provinces.

Earlier this month, the Shenzhen Stock Exchange-listed company signed a letter of intent to build an LNG storage and distribution project on the banks of the Yangtze River in the city of Zhijiang in western Hubei province.
