Woodside Petroleum has already held early discussions with potential customers over LNG supplies from the Scarborough field offshore Western Australia, The Australian newspaper cited Peter Coleman, the company’s chief executive, as saying.

“We’ve been up in Japan and China talking to potential buyers and they’re obviously very interested,” Coleman said. “We’ve been talking to contractors, those that can participate in the building of the plant and the offshore, and there’s keen interest in that area.”
