Canada’s Woodfibre LNG project has warned that uncertainty over import tariffs for steel components risks delaying its $1.6 billion export project in British Columbia, Canadian newspaper The Globe and Mail reported on Tuesday.

“The uncertainty over what, if any, anti-dumping or countervailing duties will be applied to our project makes it difficult to award an EPC contract like we plan in 2018,” said Woodfibre spokesperson Jennifer Siddon.
