China National Petroleum Corp. has extracted 30 billion cubic metres of gas from the Longwangmiao formation since the first well went online in December 2012, the company has said.

There are 45 wells at the formation, sited in the Moxi block of the Anyue field, and they produce a total of 27.5 million cubic metres per day.

The first phase of the Longwangmiao gas development project has a capacity of 11 bcm/y and became operational in October 2014.
