ExxonMobil has upgraded the resource base at the P’nyang field in Papua New Guinea to 122 billion cubic metres, an increase of 84%, the company said on Thursday.
The extra reserves could support a three-train expansion to the PNG LNG project, the company added.
The development proposal for the 42,500-hectare P’nyang field would add approximately 8 mtpa of LNG, doubling the capacity of the Exxon-operated plant.
