Naftogaz Ukrainy will take Gazprom to court to recover its losses if the Russian company fails to fulfil its gas transit obligations

Ukraine’s state-owned Naftogaz Ukrainy will take Gazprom to court to recover its losses if the Russian company fails to fulfil its gas transit obligations, Ukrainian Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko said in Kiev on Thursday.

“We’ll wait until talks between the two companies are over. However, if [Gazprom] evades its contractual obligations, Naftogaz will have every opportunity to go to court to recover the losses,” the minister was quoted as saying by local media.
