India and Bangladesh signed a number of cooperation agreements covering the oil and gas sector and other industries on Monday, according to the Hindustan Times.
One agreement was for the construction of a 129.5-km oil pipeline between Numaligarh in the Indian state of Assam and Parabatipur in Bangladesh.
The countries are also exploring the possibility of building a gas pipeline from Dattapulia in India’s West Bengal to Khulna in Bangladesh.
