Nigeria’s pipelines to undergo integrity tests

Nigerian National Petroleum Corp. (NNPC) has approved a planned audit of over 5,000 km of pipelines it administers through its subsidiary Nigerian Pipeline and Storage Co., according to Sahara Reporters.

The company will perform integrity tests on crude and product pipelines as well as on depots and refinery evacuation lines.

According to experts, ageing and corrosion of the pipelines have made approximately 51% of the grid vulnerable to vandalism.
