US dry gas production set for new highs

Dry gas production in the United States will break records in 2018 and 2019, according to forecasts by the US Energy Information Administration.

Dry gas production in the United States will break records in 2018 and 2019, according to forecasts by the US Energy Information Administration in its April Short-term Energy Outlook, published on Tuesday.

The organisation predicted that dry gas production will average 2.3 billion cubic metres per day in 2018 and rise by a further 48.1 million cubic metres per day in 2019.

US dry gas production amounted to 2.1 bcm/d in 2017.
