Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak has said he will not take part in negotiations on renewing Gazprom’s Ukrainian transit contracts with Naftogaz Ukrainy, Business World Magazine reported on Monday.

“We don’t plan to hold these meetings as it is a subject of discussion between the commercial companies, and they should first negotiate it between themselves and discuss technical and economic details of the contracts,” Novak was quoted as saying.
