Tanzania inaugurated the Kinyerezi 2 gas-fired power plant on Thursday, Reuters has reported.
The 240 MW combined-cycle facility is located on the outskirts of the Tanzanian commercial capital of Dar es Salaam and cost an estimated $353.72 million to build, 85% of which was reportedly funded by Japan’s Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp.
