Lithuania signs MOU with US LNG supplier

Lietuvos Duju Tiekimas has signed an MOU with United States-based Freeport LNG for supplies from the facility.

Lietuvos Duju Tiekimas, the gas trading arm of Lithuanian energy holding Lietuvos Energija, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Tuesday with United States-based Freeport LNG for supplies from the facility, which is under construction on Quintana Island in Texas.

“The MOU is a first step towards a master trade agreement with Freeport LNG,” a spokesperson from Lietuvos Duju Tiekimas told Interfax Natural Gas Daily.

He added that the MOU is a non-binding agreement, with no terms regarding pricing or volumes.
