Oslo-listed Wentworth Resources has announced that Tanzania Petroleum Development Corp. (TPDC) has sanctioned payments for gas sales generated from its Mnazi Bay concession.

Funds from the concession, which Wentworth co-owns with TPDC and Tanzanian power utility Tanesco, are “expected to be received shortly”.

The concession generated 2.35 million cubic metres per day in March following works to improve the field in February this year, its highest output to date.

Wentworth is set to undertake two further exploration ventures in the country.
