Qinghai Oilfield supplies nearly 97 MMcm to Tibet

PetroChina’s Qinghai Oilfield unit has supplied 96.8 million cubic metres (MMcm) of gas to Tibet since a distribution station in Lhasa went online in October 2011, according to parent company China National Petroleum Corp.

Lhasa currently has 90,000 residential gas users, as well as 10 companies and 295 buses that use the fuel.

Qinghai Oilfield had supplied 24.15 MMcm to Tibet as of 25 March since the heating season began on 1 October.
