Japan's Mitsui has expressed interest in participating in Russian LNG projects – notably Baltic LNG – the Russian Energy Ministry's press service said on Wednesday.

The statement followed a meeting between Russian Deputy Energy Minister Kirill Molodtsov and a Japanese delegation led by Kazuma Miyazawa, general manager of the Russia and Australia Gas business division at Mitsui, and Taichi Nagino, general manager of the shale gas project division at the company.
