Lukoil overtakes Gazprom in market capitalisation

Lukoil surpassed Gazprom in terms of its market capitalisation on Wednesday

Lukoil surpassed Gazprom in terms of its market capitalisation on Wednesday, Reuters has reported.

Lukoil’s shares on the Moscow Exchange were up by 0.6% by mid-morning on Wednesday, to RUB 3,900 ($67.74) per share, with the company’s capitalisation reaching RUB 3.317 trillion.

Gazprom’s capitalisation was down to RUB 3.314 trillion on Wednesday, with its shares down by 0.6%, to RUB 140 each.

Sberbank leads the Russian market in capitalisation and is currently valued at RUB 5.71 trillion.
