Japan’s Inpex has announced that the startup of the Ichthys LNG project will be delayed from its original end-March schedule until April or possibly May, according to LNG World News.
The company plans to complete trial operations in April and May and then start production. Startup was previously scheduled for Q3 2017, but Inpex faced pay disputes with workers that caused delays.
The startup schedule may yet be changed depending on weather conditions and other factors, according to the statement.
