Tanzania’s government saved an estimated $4 billion between 2015 and 2017 by using domestic gas rather than imports, according to research conducted by Tanzania Petroleum Development Corp.
Tanzania’s gas demand rose from 4.1 million cubic metres per day (MMcm/d) in 2016 to 8.5 MMcm/d in 2017, Agence Ecofin reported.
