Japan has restarted two nuclear reactors this month: one at the Ohi nuclear power plant in Oita prefecture operated by Kansai Electric Power Co., and a second at the Genkai nuclear power plant in Saga prefecture operated by Kyushu Electric Power Co. These are the sixth and seventh reactors to be brought back since all of the country’s reactors were taken offline following the Fukushima disaster in 2011.
