Central China’s Hunan province will stop setting prices for gas used by taxis and buses from 1 April, the Hunan Daily reported on Thursday.

The provincial capital of Changsha had around 10,000 gas-powered buses, taxis and government vehicles at the end of 2017, with 8,166 dual-fuel taxis.

Taxi drivers in Hunan are worried about a surge in prices once the government liberalises them, the paper said.
