The first solar-plus-storage microgrid to use Tesla batteries has been inaugurated in the Philippines, according to Energy Storage News.
The system, which has been installed in the region of Paluan, uses solar panels with 2 MW of capacity manufactured by Solar Philippines, 2 MW of Tesla’s Powerpack lithium-ion industrial and grid-scale storage batteries, and 2 MW of diesel back-up.
