The European Commission this week launched its first call of the year for energy projects intending to apply for funding under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF). 

A total of €200 million ($246 million) is available in this round, the commission said. The call for proposals will be open until 26 April 2018.

“The money is intended for projects that will strengthen the EU’s internal energy market, enhance security of energy supply, and help make Europe’s clean energy transition a reality,” the commission said. Only...
