Greenfield projects may be rare in Australia’s LNG sector these days, but they are alive and well in the country’s burgeoning clean energy sector. Oil and gas companies are showing a growing appetite for investment in new renewable developments. 

The shift in thinking is coming from a desire to capture gains from a new growth market, but it is also the result of a growing cohort of financiers and investors pushing energy companies to diversify their asset bases for a carbon-constrained future.
