Chinese pipeline imports hit 16 bcm during winter

China imported 16.1 billion cubic metres of pipeline gas from Central Asian countries and Myanmar between 15 November and 5 March.

China imported 16.1 billion cubic metres of pipeline gas from Central Asian countries and Myanmar between 15 November – when the winter heating season started – and 5 March, according to China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC).

The gas was imported via the three lines of the Central Asia-China Pipeline (CACP) and the China-Myanmar pipeline, and accounted for 36% of CNPC’s gas sales during the period.
