Ishai licence holders warn Israel about Cypriot exploitation

The licenceholders of the Ishai block have written to the Israeli authorities to warn that extraction of gas from the Aphrodite field by Cyprus will deplete Ishai’s reserves.

The owners of the licence to explore the Ishai block offshore Israel have written to the Israeli authorities to warn that extraction of gas from the Aphrodite field on the Cypriot side of the border will deplete Ishai’s reserves.

They are seeking information on “what future steps will be taken in order to safeguard Israel’s rights in Aphrodite”.

The Ishai licence is held by Israel Opportunity Energy Resources, Nammax Oil & Gas, Eden Energy Discoveries and AGR Petroleum Services Holdings.
