The successful startup of Golar’s Cameroon FLNG project could provide a valuable boost to Ophir Energy as it struggles towards FID on its flagship Fortuna FLNG development in Equatorial Guinea.
Golar confirmed on Monday that its Hilli Episeyo vessel had started producing LNG at the Kribi field offshore Cameroon. However, Ophir said last week that its Fortuna venture was delayed because it had not yet secured project financing.
First gas from Fortuna is now scheduled for 2022 – two years later...
