Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim called Cyprus’s oil and gas exploration plans "provocative" and said the country’s actions "will be met with the appropriate response", at a news conference on Wednesday.
Yildirim made his comments in response to reports that an ExxonMobil vessel was heading toward Cypriot waters.
Turkish warships last month blocked attempts by a drillship contracted to Eni to reach its target point in Cyprus’s exclusive economic zone.
