Pakistani government orders LNG supply cuts

The government of Pakistan has directed Pakistan LNG and Pakistan State Oil to reduce their supplies of LNG by 33% and 17% respectively as a result of falling gas demand caused by warmer weather, Dawn reported a senior petroleum division official as saying on Tuesday.

Throughput handled by Pakistan LNG from the Gasport terminal will be reduced from 8.5 million cubic metres per day (MMcm/d) to 5.7 MMcm/d, while Pakistan State Oil will reduce supply from the Engro Elengy terminal from 17.0 MMcm/d to...
