China’s four Shaanxi-Beijing pipelines have supplied 18.94 billion cubic metres of gas so far during the current heating season, surpassing the 16.90 bcm transported during the whole of the previous heating season, according to PetroChina.
Supply via the pipelines, which have a combined capacity of 60 bcm/y, hit a record 197 million cubic metres per day at one point. The heating season in northern China typically ends on 15 March.
